United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR Italy Charity Profile

UNHCR is the UN agency for refugees ( United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees). The agency was created by the UN General Assembly in 1950 and in fact, began operating on 1 January 1951. States that are still recovering from the devastation of World War II wanted to make sure you have a strong and effective badasse interests of refugees - or 'protected' in countries where they had sought asylum. The UNHCR was also responsible for helping governments to find "permanent solutions" for refugees.
