People to People International PTPI Milan Charity Profile

People To People International (PTPI), founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, is a cultural and educational exchange organization dedicated to advancing international understanding and friendship through the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among people of different countries and cultures. Its world headquarters are in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, and it's present in 125 countries with more than 80.000 families and individuals actively participating in People To People International programs. It's open for everyone regardless of nationality, occupation, age and religious belief.

The purpose of People To People International is to enhance international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among people of different countries and cultures. It will cooperate with any and all other organizations which are of similar nature and purpose.People To People International is dedicated to enhancing cross-cultural communication within each community, and across communities and nations. Tolerance and mutual understanding are central themes. While not a partisan or political institution, People To People International is a no-profit organization and supports the basic values of its founder, President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
