Visiting Nurse Association of the Inland Counties Charity Profile
The Association has maintained a tradition of caring & quality since 1949, and is Johnson County's oldest established home health agency. Assists patients in their home, providing an alternative to hospital or nursing home care. Serves all of Johnson County, Iowa and provides selected services to Cedar, Iowa, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, and Washington counties. Provides skilled and health promotion services for individuals of all ages. Is Medicare and Medicaid certified. Provides care that is personal and individualized, encouraging patients to participate in their own health care planning. Works closely with patients and their families to assure health care needs are met as ordered by the patient's physician. Provides subsidized health care services with funds provided by United Way, Johnson County and State Grants, through the Iowa Department of Public Health. Private pay is based on a sliding fee scale. Assists patients to personally manage their health care needs and minimize the impact of health status changes. Is a United Way agency. Is a non-profit agency. Offers a 24-hour on-call nursing service. Maintains a close and professional working relationship with area physicians, hospitals, and other human service agencies. Maintains a health suite and regular hours at the Iowa City Senior Center, as well as providing senior health services throughout the county.
