Gateway Contemporary Ballet Charity Profile
Since its founding in February 1983, Gateway Contemporary Ballet has pirouetted into a prominent place in eastern Iowa's cultural scene, proving that there is considerable local interest in live dance theater.
Thanks to donations, grants, community support, and behind- the-scenes volunteers, it has been possible for GCB to succeed when other dance companies have not. Tangible recognition has included grants and an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Iowa Arts Council, grants for equipment from the Clinton County Gaming Association, and three grants from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs for productions in the last decade.
Gateway Contemporary Ballet performs year-round. The spring full-length ballet is followed by a free concert at Art in the Park in June. The fall performance always showcases exciting choreographers and guest artists, like James Ady who is now a member of American Ballet Theatre in New York City. At other times of the year, GCB performs for local organizations and festivals.

Gateway Contemporary Ballet Donation Information
Your tax-deductible donation to GATEWAY CONTEMPORARY BALLET helps defray the high costs of staging and production that the sale of tickets cannot begin to do. As a non-profit organization, gifts from the private and corporate sectors are the foundation for our continued growth and development.
