The Caring Place Charity Profile

The Caring Place, Inc. provides service and shelter for victims of violence and their children. Through education and awareness we empower all members of the community to live in peace.

Caring Place Staff and Volunteers-

Provide shelter and safety to both men and women and their children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Provides advocacy and guidance to assist victims of violence to develop vocational skills to allow them to live independently.

Through the ERV (Emergency Response Volunteer) program, staff and volunteers assist victims of rape and violence through the initial stages of trauma at the hospital or clinic.

Provides a support group for elder women where shelter living may not be required or appropriate.

Provides educational resources to the community through its speakers bureau and educational programs.

All services are confidential and free of charge .

The Caring Place Volunteer Information

Volunteers are found in every place and program at The Caring Place. Listed below are different volunteer opportunities in which volunteers may become involved. Some modes of service require weekly commitments, while others are on an as-needed basis.

The Caring Place welcomes creative individuals who feel they may best help clients or the organization in ways that are perhaps not listed here.
