Disha Social Organization is a voluntary organisation with a vision to establish an equitable society where there is no discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion and caste and which provides equal social, economic and political opportunities to all.

Founded in 1984, for over two decades Disha is creating awareness about the issues being faced by the general public in rural settings. It is assiduously working for betterment of lives of rural disadvantaged communities in an area which is considered to be 'developed' by the planners of the country and the state. It has several achievements to its credit.
