Saraswathy Shanmugam Public Charitable Trust SSPCT Charity Profile

A group of young broad minded enthusiasts, veterans in different fields joined together and floated a non-governmental and non-profitable charitable trust named as THE SARASWATHI SHANMUGAM PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST in 1996 with the overall goal of empowering the oppressed and downtrodden communities especially the women and children and tribe. Various efforts made by this SSPCT over the years have resulted in marked development of the target population. Poverty anywhere is a threat to the prosperity everywhere. Poverty in South or East is the threat for the prosperity of North or West. Empowerment is a process of promoting the people in their socio economic health and educational dimensions. The development perspectives of the SSPCT through its operation has emancipated the disadvantaged communities in the Tiruvannamalai District.

The SSPCT splits itself into twenty three wings to serve the target groups in a speedy, effective and great way and the trustees spared their personal time to mitigate the sufferings of the poor groups and children. The small support received from the professional community has equipped the SSPCT to contribute meaningfully for the total development of the target population. Help the people to help themselves is the guiding philosophy in its plan and implementation of various programs for the target population.
