Neighbour Social Welfare Organisation Charity Profile

NSWO , a non-govt., non-profit, non-religious, and non-political organization started the first project. Jute Handicraft was taught to the very poor, downtrodden, under privileged women and girl child. The trainees were provided with monthly stipend and a light refreshment. At the end of six months training the learned artisans were given job work and paid accordingly. Unsuccessful – trainees were either given manual work or in special cases a second course of training. Majority of NSWO members are women and the aim is “ Liberation of women from the bondage of Society’s injustice. To protect women and girl child from poverty, ill health , illiteracy , torture, harassment , trafficking , murder etc.”. NSWO’ s special feature is “ of the women for the women and by the women”
