Children's Home + Aid Charity Profile
Saving children’s lives, moving families forward and going where the need is greatest – that’s what Children’s Home + Aid is all about. Since 1883, we have been providing help, hope and opportunity to children and families in need. Each year Children’s Home + Aid serves about 40,000 children and families in Illinois by helping them overcome overwhelming obstacles such as poverty, abuse and neglect. The Mission of Children’s Home + Aid is to give children help, hope and opportunity.

Every day volunteers support Children’s Home + Aid’s mission – to give children help, hope and opportunity. Whether reading stories to a classroom at our Child + Family Centers, playing catch with a foster child, helping a child with homework, or providing support to our office staff, volunteers make a difference in the lives of children and families.
