Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Charity Profile

Hospice of Northeastern Illinois was established in 1984 in Barrington, when a small group of volunteers, dedicated to the philosophy of hospice, created the not-for-profit program.We merged with Hospice for McHenry County in Woodstock, in 1989, to expand our care--to be able to reach patients and families in a six-county service area in suburban Chicago.

We enhance life by providing dignified and compassionate care and guidance to those coping with the loss and end-of-life.

Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Volunteer Information

We're always seeking compassionate and caring individuals who would like to donate their time within their community. Opportunities to care for hospice patients and their families are available throughout Hospice of Northeastern Illinois' six-county service area. Volunteers who choose to work with patients and families complete extensive training and support.

Hospice of Northeastern Illinois is in need of bilingual volunteers to assist with Spanish-speaking patients and their families.Persons can also volunteer your time in our office or assist with special events. We hav/e office locations in Barrington and Crystal Lake.
