AEGEE-Athina Charity Profile
AEGEE-Athina is one from the bigger unions of students in all Europe. It has taken part her name from Aegean sea, one from where been born democracy, and from the first parliament in the beginning of French Revolution.
The AEGEE is voluntary, politically independent and not speculative organisation, open in students of all faculties. Her fundamental objective is the promotion of idea of linked Europe and the collaboration and communication without borders between the students. It tries, thus, it creates a open and progressive society of future.
The AEGEE was founded in Paris in 1985. In 1992 her central offices were transported in Brussels. Today, the AEGEE is represented in 270 cities, in 40 countries in entire Europe and numbers roughly 17.000 members. By her foundation, it is calculated that above 100.000 students became members of Organisation.
