Fnec Charity Profile

The Hellenic Foundation for Youth and Volunteering is a non profit making NGO established on the island of Kefalonia in Greece (Ionian Sea).

The main activities are: Provide an informal environmental information centre - Provide search and rescue services both on land and at sea - Encourage Youth exchanges between young people for the benefit of community development - conduct marine research -Promote marine conservation operated exclusively by volunteers including the members of the club and the board of committee. The club receives international volunteers from all over the world.

To become a volunteer you must be above 18 years old. Volunteering means; your free contribution to a common purpose by offering voluntarily your time and work towards this common purpose. Volunteering involves non formal learning and experience, skill development and work in a multicultural environment with different values than those you are used to.
