Orphanage Africa-OA Charity Profile
OrphanAid Africa (OA) is a U.S. 501c3 non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco California. The organization was originally founded in Ghana in 2002 and additionally has registered branches in Europe with the shared aim of assisting the many orphans and vulnerable children in need of care as a result of the twin stress of the HIV/AIDs epidemic and the increase of rural o-urban migration in Ghana. In addition to our headquarters in Ghana, OA operates and builds awareness in the USA and Europe with branches registered in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States, all sharing the similar goal of developing fundraising programs that will help fund our OVC care initiatives in Ghana.
Orphanage Africa-OA Volunteer Information
OrphanAid Africa welcomes volunteers at the OrphanAid Africa Foster Family Community in order to help improve the conditions and provide much needed stimulus for the children.
Our volunteer program selects and places motivated individuals to help out in a community village, where we need help. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a sincere inspiration to help those in need in Ghana, especially children. The volunteers that come to work in Ghana for OrphanAid Africa help in a range of ways. Mainly the volunteers provide relief for the overworked Ghanaian staff at the OA community school and give much needed attention and love to the children.

Contributions to OrphanAid Africa, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes.
