Bodensee-Stiftung Charity Profile

The Lake Constance Foundation was developed out of the German Environmental Aid organization’s "Lake Constance Environmental Protection Project". As a non-governmental organization the Lake Constance Foundation is able to act and form partnerships without binding ties to political and administrative authorities. Within this context, we are particularly interested in forming cooperative partnerships with small and medium-sized businesses as well as community authorities and stakeholders.Eighteen environmental protection organizations from three countries are members of the Foundation’s advisory council, which meets regularly under the name of The Lake Constance Environmental Council.

The Lake Constance Foundation is primarily involved in motivating, moderating, coordinating and advising. It aims to establish partnerships working towards sustainable economic development which protects the environment. Of particular interest are partners who show independent initiative. Because the Lake Constance Foundation acts at a grass-roots level it is able to carry out its projects in close cooperation with nature conservation groups in the region.
The Lake Constance Foundation is especially involved in public relations work. We maintain strong contacts to regional and national media. Television, radio and press report regularly on the Lake Constance Foundation’s projects and activities.
