Amnesty International is a world-wide, from governments, political parties, ideologies, economic interests and religions independent member organization. On basis of the general declaration of the human rights Amnesty turns against heavily weighing injuries of the rights of each humans to liberty of opinion, to freedom of discrimination as well as on physical and mental soundness.
1961 based, are Amnesty today with altogether more than 2.2 million members, in over 150 countries, the world-wide largest human rights organization.
In Germany Amnesty International is carried of more than 100,000 members and supporters.
