Folke Peterson Wildlife Center Charity Profile
The Folke Peterson Wildlife Center (FPWC) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization licensed to provide care for sick, injured and orphaned native Florida wildlife.
Our primary goal is to return healthy, rehabilitated animals to their natural habitat as soon as possible. Unreleaseable animals are sometimes used as ambassadors for their species in our public education programs promoting tolerance and appreciation of wildlife.
Our ultimate goal is to become one of a handful of wildlife veterinary teaching hospitals in the country.
Folke Peterson Wildlife Center Volunteer Information
The generous gift of your valuable time is one of the most important contributions you can give to The Folke Peterson Wildlife Center.
Our volunteers are dedicated animal lovers from all walks of life. We invite you to join them in helping sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife return to a life of freedom.
Volunteers help our staff with many important chores, such as animal care and feeding, food preparation, cage cleaning and other related tasks. There are non-animal related skills that are also greatly needed, including landscaping and gardening, carpentry, construction and maintenance. We are also currently expanding our volunteer board of directors.
