United Way of Pasco County Charity Profile
Our mission is to enrich the quality of life in Pasco County by mobilizing, developing and supporting community resources.
United Way of Pasco County bring together people from all across the community – people from government, business, faith groups, non-profits, labor and ordinary citizens – to tackle the issues that matter most in our community. If it requires fundraising, going to City Hall, or just getting people to work together, that’s what we do.
The work of United Way benefits everyone directly or indirectly because as you raise the individual, it ripples out into the community. We are all connected. Our donors, our partner agencies, the businesses that support the United Way’s mission are all catalyst for a good life for all.
United Way of Pasco County Volunteer Information
The United Way Prosperity Campaign needs volunteers to prepare income tax returns for wage earners and retirees who have low to moderate incomes.
Each free tax preparation site needs volunteers to greet the clients, make sure they have the necessary information and assign them to a tax preparer. If you enjoy meeting people and would like to assist in making our tax sites a smooth running operation, please consider volunteering in our program.
Volunteers are needed in our Pasco County 211 Call Center to make appointments for clients seeking to have their income taxes prepared at one of our ten locations. Volunteers must have good communication and computer skills. Call center volunteers answer incoming calls, enter information in our scheduling database and make outgoing calls to remind clients of their appointments.
