Rebuilding Together NCF Charity Profile

Rebuilding Together NCF began as a grassroots organization called Rebuild Gainesville, Inc. Rebuild Gainesville was made up of community members in Gainesville, FL that saw a need for quality housing in Alachua County.

The idea of Rebuild Gainesville sprang from the minds of community members that have been helping to repair homes one by one since 1998. They would go out to homes on weekends or afternoons in small groups giving their best effort to make the homes safer for residents. Many of these individuals had participated in construction service projects that took them to far off places. However, once they returned home, they saw the need in their own community and became deeply committed to eliminating substandard living conditions in Gainesville.
