Shands Charity Profile
Shands HealthCare is a private, not-for-profit healthcare system affiliated with the University of Florida and its Health Science Center campuses in Gainesville and Jacksonville. The system includes eight Shands hospitals and two home-health agencies. Shands is affiliated with more than 80 UF outpatient practices located throughout North Central and Northeast Florida.
Shands HealthCare's mission is to provide excellent patient care; collaborate in improving community health; and create an environment that supports education and research in the health sciences.

Shands HealthCare offers an array of volunteering opportunities within its hospitals and outlying facilities. Each Shands HealthCare hospital offers a volunteer program, and several hospitals offer specialized volunteer opportunities
