The Association of Volunteers, Environmental Research and Development (LIFE) is a nongovernmental organization that was founded by schoolchildren, university students, professionals and citizens in general, aware of the environmental problem and willing to provide solutions through various projects and activities.
Association of Volunteers, Environmental Research and Development (LIFE) Volunteer Information
Life and Volunteer Program organizes and prepares groups consisting of 10 and 30 people (college students and university), in periods ranging from 2 weeks up to a month. The volunteer projects coordinated with leaders of community organizations and members of the Volunteer Program, some project experiences are: improvement of communal infrastructure (schools, churches and community halls), construction of culverts and trail maintenance in natural reserves. In the same way and develop educational visits outside the community, including visits to hot springs or National Parks. The volunteers stay in host families in the community, taking a direct contact with their social and cultural reality. Each group is led by staff of life, to promote a total experience for the group and community.
