Like most organizations, Pegasus Therapeutic Riding have a mission statement that serves as a guidepost for everything we do:

To provide the therapeutic benefits of horseback riding and other equine-assisted activities to physically, emotionally, and developmentally challenged individuals at facilities and stables in the states of Connecticut and New York.

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Volunteer Information

Volunteers are the heart of Pegasus. Without their dedication, loyalty and hard work, it would not be possible for us to fulfill our mission. There are many individual reasons why people volunteer for Pegasus, but all offer the unique opportunity to give of oneself while forming special personal connections in an environment of unconditional acceptance.

We have many different volunteer opportunities at Pegasus. Some require horse experience, but many do not. All we need is your willingness to give of yourself and commit your time.
