Mission: Introduce people to the social and economic benefits of minerals and other natural resources, and how they can be used in an environmentally responsible manner; Present accurate and balanced information about the science of minerals and other natural resources, their geological occurrence, how they are used in products we use every day, and other fact-based information; Work in cooperation with other organizations and individuals to ensure that relevant and factual educational materials are readily available to teachers to improve the awareness and understanding for the wise development and use of our natural resources; Support teachers by surveying and evaluating the effectiveness of classroom materials and improving them as necessary.
