Friends of Mount Evans & Lost Creek Wildernesses Charity Profile
Friends of Mount Evans & Lost Creek Wildernesses (FOME & LC) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Founded in November 2005, FOME & LC provides cooperative stewardship support to the United States Forest Service We offer volunteer opportunities for all ages, physical abilities, interests and schedules. You can also help by becoming a member and contributing. Volunteer hours, mileage, donations, contributions and membership dues are tax deductible.
Mission is to provide advocacy through participation in stewardship, education and outreach in the Mount Evans & Lost Creek Wilderness areas of the Arapaho and the Pike National Forests. We volunteer in cooperation with the Clear Creek, South Platte and South Park Ranger Districts of the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service.
Friends of Mount Evans & Lost Creek Wildernesses Volunteer Information
When you volunteer you are helping preserve the Wild in Wilderness. We work in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service, South Platte (SPRD), South Park (SoPRD) and Clear Creek (CCRD) Ranger Districts. Our volunteer programs are an attempt to help the Forest Service meet the 10 elements of the Wilderness Stewardship Challenge, issued by Chief Bosworth for the 40th Anniversary of the signing of the Wilderness Act in 2004.
