Vernon Upper Room Mission Society Charity Profile
The Upper Room Mission offers hope to the hurting, hungry and homeless by serving meals and offering a chapel service. We greatfully accept donations of cash, food, clothing and household goods. These are given to the needy, sold in our Thrift Store or recycled.
Vernon Upper Room Mission Society Volunteer Information
Volunteers make up 90% of the workforce at the Upper Room Mission. We are always looking for people from all walks of life who want a rewarding experience helping others.
All volunteers must fill out an application form and police clearance check, then go thorough a Volunteer Orientation. Application forms may be downloaded here:

We’re happy with whatever time commitment you’re ready to make! Some volunteers work five days a week, others an hour every two weeks; we have a spot for everyone!
Areas to consider are the Kitchen, Thrift Store, Pick Up Driver, Downstairs Sorting, Chapel Speaker, Repair Technician.
Vernon Upper Room Mission Society Donation Information
Without donations, the Mission could not do what we do. Providing three meals a day, a clothing giveaway room, a low cost thrift store… the constant stream of donations that arrive daily are an enormous blessing that truly makes this operation possible.
Some donations go directly to the needy; others are sold in the Thrift Store or sent overseas. The generosity of the Vernon community and surrounding areas is overwhelming!
