Afoni Children of Hope Foundation Charity Profile

Afoni Children of Hope Foundation - ACOHOF, is a voluntary, non-profit making, apolitical, philanthropic, charity and development Association based in Cameroon - Africa. We are a Charity legalized by the Cameroon Government, with Registration Number: E26/PS/118/11. The Mission of Afoni Children of Hope Foundation is to help the HIV/AIDS orphans, underprivileged children, street children, children suffering from Muscular Dystrophy and similar diseases that affects children and adults. We take care of the HIV and AIDS infected and affected persons by carrying out extensive sensitization campaigns on the various methods that the disease is contracted and the methods of prevention by use of condoms, fidelity to partners and so on. We also carry out stringent sensitization against stigma and discrimination. Our programs include Music and Talents promotion, Water and sanitation for our communities, no smoking campaign, as well education for all.

Afoni Children of Hope Foundation Volunteer Information

Afoni Children of Hope Foundation is actively seeking volunteers to help in the various programs that are being carried out by the Foundation. We need the services of persons who have the expertise to work with under-privileged children, children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, children suffering from muscular dystrophy and children with various forms of disabilities. We are also in need of medical personnel who will help us with their know how during our various campaigns on the open air, over the radios and TV stations. Lastly we need persons who are good in music so that they can help to train and teach the use of various musical instruments to the boys and girls who are in the music program.

Afoni Children of Hope Foundation Donation Information

Afoni Children of Hope Foundation is able to achieve all its goals with the help of donations and grants from individuals and some organisations. In order to carry out our activities we depend solely on donations without which we will not be able to do anything. In order to travel from one village or community to another in order to carry out sensitization campaigns against HIV/AIDS or muscular dystrophy for example we need the means. We need transportation and the use of motor bikes to get there. Most often we hire vehicles, chairs, tents and the musical set that is used as the out door speaker system. We need donations to feed, pay for lodging, school fees and books for the orphans and under-privileged boys and girls that are under our care.
