Progressive Charity Organisation Charity Profile

Research on health care in the republic of Cameroon concerning the disable, destitute children and old people has been of great concern of our organisation. Report shows that most of them suffer from health crisis due to poor financial situation amongst families which has led to poor nutrition, thereby causing high death rate, including infant mortatlity, disability amongst children, and loss of sight, homeless citizens and orphans.

Many of these old men have been abandoned to their own faith rendering them miserable and most die due to psychological torture.

This has in a long run created a gap not only to some families but the entire economy of the country as a whole.

It is based on the above reason that the progressive charity organisation seeks to redress the existing problems faced by these persons. It is worth noting that most of the handicap persons mentioned especially the old men have not had any assistance or rehabilitation center in Cameroon and therefore the dire need for assistance and financial support.

Our main goals and objectives are as follows:

-To rehabilitate Orphans, destitute and the old men.

-Provide health care services to the needy.

-Provide clothing and food to the needy.

Methods adopted:

The primary method for achieving the goal/objective will be:

-The organisation of a training session on how to cater for old and disable persons.

-Registration fees from members.

-Involvement of local/community leaders and community members in our activities.

-Appealing for material and financial assistance from donor groups.

-Probing into the different communities to know the number old men, orphans and destitute children available in the community.
