Empress Theatre Charity Profile
The Empress Theatre is an historic and elegant mixed-use performing arts center located in downtown Vallejo, California. The newly renovated and restored theater is the centerpiece of an exciting renaissance of downtown art, entertainment and dining. The theater is located on Virginia Street, one block from Georgia Street—downtown's main avenue and shopping haven.
The Empress enriches the lives of the Vallejo and North Bay communities by bringing popular entertainers and artists of national and international stature to Vallejo. The theater is also home to community productions, concerts by local & regional musicians, symphony, theatre and dance performances as well as providing a local venue in which to see independent and foreign film.
Empress Theatre Volunteer Information
Like all nonprofits, the Empress always has plenty of work for willing hands to do. Let us know how you’d like to get involved.
Empress Theatre Donation Information
The Empress Theatre is operated and maintained by the Vallejo Community Arts Foundation, Inc, a non-profit public benefit corporation. A nearly 100-year-old structure, the Empress is a jewel in Vallejo’s downtown, but it is also a tremendously costly structure to operate and maintain. And, unlike other similar civic arts centers in the Bay Area, the Empress Theatre receives no funding from the City or County. All funding must be earned through ticket sales or raised through fundraising efforts. Private donors are our essential partners. Your donation today will help to ensure that the Empress Theatre remains Vallejo’s Center for Arts and Entertainment™ for the next 100 years.
