Solano Mentor Collaborative of Fighting Back Partnership Charity Profile
Concerned Vallejo citizens and the City Council expressed alarm in 1988 at the increasing use of alcohol and drugs within the community and formed a Red Ribbon Committee to address this problem and explore programs and services that could potentially result in a meaningful reduction of substance abuse. Vallejo's Fighting Back Partnership is a non-profit collaboration that partners with business, residents, and government to improve neighborhoods, strengthen families, and support youth development creating a safe, healthy and thriving community.

Opportunities for Volunteering - each FRC offers the opportunity for parents to become involved in the community through working with other families, serving as advisors to improve the FRC operations, or becoming advocates in the community and working on local issues empowering families; groups such as the Vallejo Basic Needs Collaborative are made up of local parent representatives and/or providers.
