Founded in 1993 by David Dower, the Z Space Studio has become one of the nation's leading laboratories for the development of new voices, new works and new directions in American theater.

The Z Space Studio strives to fuel the development of American theater on a national level by nurturing new voices, new works, and new opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Z Space Studio Volunteer Information

The Z Space welcome volunteers in all phases of our organization. Work in the office, back stage, front of house, or in the field. Everything from flyering to phoning to ushering to assisting on the productions themselves is fair game for people interested in theater, interesting in learning, and interested in contributing to the cultural life of the Bay Area.
