Forte Animal Rescue Volunteer Information
Our adoptions are held at Centinela Feed and Pet Supplies in Mar Vista where we can always us assistance in setup and teardown. This consists of crate handling, transportation for the dogs, tent, table and crate setup. The adoption setup begins at noon, and teardown begins at 3:30 pm. Come for the setup, the tear down, or stay all day with our cute pooches. There are usually beverages and snacks, so we just have a great time with each other while saving the animals!
We usually have several dogs boarded at our vets and kennels. Most are in West LA and some are in downtown. Though the vet techs and kennel staff take great care of our dogs, they get cooped up sitting in their cages, the dogs would love for you to give them one-on-one attention, socialization and fun outings.
For the dogs boarded at the kennel, it's no different from sitting behind bars in their jail cells, no matter how properly they may be cared for. By having our dogs fostered, we get to know about each dog much better than when the dog is kenneled. By being fostered, we can make sure that the dog is potty-trained, and dogs learn commands, how to walk on the leash and get socialized with the real world. All of these make the dog's adoption far more successful.
Forte Animal Rescue Donation Information
As Forte Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 100% of donations goes directly to animal care. In addition to ongoing boarding and other costs, we continually incur significant veterinary medical bills. ANY amount granted to us would be absolutely appreciated since Forte Animal Rescue survives solely on donations.
