Society For Humanitarian Research Charity Profile

The Society for Humanitarian Research is a non-governmental organization founded on January 17, 1997 . The main purpose of the organization is:

· to prepare programs for the individuals wishing to be occupied in a social activity in order to give them knowledge about social entities

· to study the conditions for the active participation of individuals in the formation of the civic society and in the process of democratic development of the society and the situation concerning with the human rights, migration, and the third sector development

· to prepare programs for the citizens to give them legal knowledge and etc.
In 2000, the organization again has published the “ The questionnaire on Pre election campaign” in the Russian and English, and the “Azerbaijan-English-Russian dictionary on election terms” with the financial support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy. The organization has published “NGO manual book” in Azeri and English with the help of the UN Development Program which was distributed to the NGOs and international organizations free of charge. Since May 2000, the organization issues “NGO News Digest” in English.
