United Way of Northeast Arkansas Charity Profile

The United Fund was organized in 1955 with six agencies. The United Fund changed its name to United Way of Jonesboro in 1972 and in 1973 United Way of Jonesboro changed its name to United Way of Greater Jonesboro. In 1994 Day of Caring began. United Way of Greater Jonesboro will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2005.The United Way of Northeast Arkansas is an organization dedicated to helping people. This is accomplished by volunteers and staff who assess community needs, raise funds, allocate resources, and encourage collaborative efforts to build a stronger and healthier community.
