A Ludwig Dance Theatre Charity Profile
Organized in 1977 in California, A Ludwig Dance Theatre moved to Tempe in 1979 and began its ongoing Arizona involvement with creating and community.
As astute observer of human behavior, Ludwig’s work surrounds us with quality of life issues which explore domestic violence, homelessness, women and men’s roles in society, drug and alcohol abuse, gender preferences, ravages of war, aging, love, marriage, divorce and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the sheer joy of dancing with flavors from swing, tango, waltz and country.
It is the philosophy of A Ludwig Dance Theatre that whether engaging a room full of first graders or pushing the boundaries for an adult audience, the ease of performance and the humor of the moment goes a long distance in enticing even the most wary into a conversation with the dance.

A Ludwig Dance Theatre is on the Arizona Commission on the Art’s Roster of Artists, and a non-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible and may be designated for new community work, children's work, audience development, or touring.
