The mission of the Challenger Space Center is to inspire,excite and educate people of all ages about the mysteries and wonders of space, science and universe in which we live.

Challenger Space Center Volunteer Information

Just like clockwork, six days a week, you will find a number of our 100+ dedicated volunteers at the Challenger Space Center, where they delight in sharing their knowledge of space, science and the universe with wide-eyed youngsters and oldsters, too!

Whether it’s describing the adventures that took the first man in space, or explaining the mural painted by renowned artist, Robert McCall, our volunteers continue to share their knowledge and excite the public. They charm even the youngest children with “did you know’s” or “how about that’s”, and turn on the “aha” light bulb in elementary school age kids.
