Hospice of Havasu Charity Profile
Hospice of Havasu is a patient-centered team of volunteers and professionals, serving the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the incurably ill in our communities and their family and friends.
Hospice of Havasu owes its existence to the hard work and dedication of the Hospice Development Board. In 1982, Reverend Barrie Gray, the Board's Chairman, and other board members visited hospices throughout the United States, gathering the information that was needed to build a foundation for hospice services in Lake Havasu City. Our agency's incorporation followed on July 19, 1982.
Hospice of Havasu Volunteer Information
Trained volunteers are a vital part of the Hospice of Havasu team. They provide a number of services for patient and family, all focused on being good neighbors in any way possible. There are also volunteers and their pets who can visit with patients. Volunteer training is conducted throughout the year.
Hospice of Havasu Donation Information
All donations are used for local patients and programs, including grief support groups, caregiver support groups, education and children’s bereavements programs. In addition, donations have helped Hospice of Havasu keep its promise to the community that no one will be refused services because of an inability to pay for them.
