National Farm Workers Service Center Charity Profile
For more than four decades, the National Farm Workers Service Center (NFWSC) has expanded to meet the changing needs of the nation’s farm worker and Latino communities.
NFWSC was originally created to fill a void in communities where farm worker families lived and worked. It may have seemed odd in 1966 for Cesar Chavez to spend precious time and resources initiating a nonprofit organization that appeared to have little to do with starting a labor union.
The mission of NFWSC is to enrich and improve the lives of farm worker and Latino families by meeting their essential human, cultural, and community needs.
