Sonoran Audubon Society SAS Charity Profile

In December 1999, a group of dedicated birders and community-minded environmentalists formed the Sonoran Audubon Society (SAS) in the West Valley of Maricopa County. In June 2000, we became a chapter of the National Audubon Society.

Our mission is to educate our members, as well as the community at large, about all wildlife (with an emphasis on birds), habitats, and the beauty and importance of the many complex interactions that make for a healthy environment. We encourage everyone's involvement in the conservation, preservation and restoration of natural ecosystems and biological diversity.
