Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity Charity Profile
Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity, Inc., was founded in 1995. The chapter is currently building its tenth house.
Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry, working in partnership with people in need to build simple decent, affordable housing. The houses are sold to partnering families at no profit and with no interest charged. Partner families repay Verde Valley Habitat through a 20 year mortgage.
The Verde Valley affiliate represents the communities of Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome, Camp Verde, Cornville, Rimrock, Lake Montezuma, Sedona and other nearby communities. Most recently we built homes in the Rim Rock and Lake Montezuma communities as land in these areas has been more affordable and conducive to our self-help ownership program.
Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Information
Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian ministry that welcomes to its work all people dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing and providing affordable housing to those in need. Since its founding in Americus, Ga., in 1976, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 300,000 houses in nearly 85 countries, providing simple, decent and affordable shelter for more than 1 million people and we could not achieve these goals without you, the Volunteer!
Volunteer work provides an opportunity to grow, to bond and to experience good feelings that are carried back to life through your family and the workplace. Our local affiliate, Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity, is 100% volunteer! We have no paid staff, and each person who works beside you is there for their own reasons; they just plain want to help! Whether you are new to the area, recently retired, widowed or you wish to involve your youth or business group in a worthwhile project, give us a call. It is amazing what we can accomplish with just one additional pair of hands.

Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity Donation Information
Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity relies on the good works, donations and generosity of local and regional businesses and suppliers to meet its material needs for each project. When we can't get outright donations of materials, we try to obtain materials at or below cost so that the price tag of the finished house is as low as possible.
