Volunteer Mobile was established in 1975 by the Junior League of Mobile and the Community Chest and Council.

Volunteer Mobile is affiliated with Hands On Network which is generated by The Points of Light Institute. We were recognized by the U.S. State Department as an exemplary program in Disaster Volunteer Coordination.

Volunteer Mobile was a recipient of the prestigious George Romney Award, presented by the Points of Light Foundation to the Outstanding Volunteer Center in the nation.
